Yeah when I saw that I was like holy shit I remember that...

I have most of the cradle torn down and sand blasted now... I might try to blast the tripod and re parkerize it this coming weekend... but who knows... I have to pull the dash out of my Ford Truck to replace the heater core and that's more of a priority or it'll never get done...

Hey gbyenko is the pintle smaller for the 1917A1 tripod cause I try to drop my 30/50 pintle into my socket for mach up and possible brazing and it sits to high to be caught by the catch... Thoughts...?

There is a difference, the 30 pintle is machined around the base a small amount so it sits down into the block. The 30/50 does not have this relieved area, so it sits up on the pintle pad.

All these years and I never noticed go figure... Well guess I gotta pick up a few of those...
