Default Full Auto Fn30 Trouble shoot

Anyone here have any experience with full Auto FN30's? I'm having issues with the ones I have.

I know FNs pretty well, what's the issue?

Is timing set to 0.070" or close? Headspace about three clicks out?

I have found removing the feed finger REALLY helps on the FN30.

Karl thanks for the reply. The main problem is the guns will run 10 to 15 rounds and stop, you can rack the gun and it will fire again and then some times it will run 100rd s no problem. The timing is .070 or less the book I have has no mention of where the timing should be. The head space is set just as you described 3 clicks out. Are you talking about the finger on the feed paw in the top cover?

Yep, pull that sucker out. If using links, they catch between it and the rear cartridge stop. Sometimes for only a second, but it causes the gun to jam or fail to extract. I made a custom washer 1/8"ID by 1/4" OD by thickness of the finger to insert where the finger was. Or, you could just cut the end off.

I pulled damn near all my hair out on this one a few years back. Then found out Pirate had done this.

Bet this is what you need to do.

Karl
I have been meaning to let you know I took the finger on the feed pawl out of all three of my Fn30 and they all run like a sewing machine by themselves, But here is a new problem. If I put two of them in my twin mount one gun will quit 20 to 30 rounds in if you try firing them together any thoughts?

Not much help here, just the standard look for something hanging up or dragging.

Send them both to me along with 10K rounds and I'll fix it for you
