Default Powder Question: Smallarms Powder Developments

Has anyone heard of any powder developments that would allow our 300gr advanced .338 Lapua Magnum Generation II projectile to effectively achieve 2000 yard / 2000 meter extreme range while still using the standard .338 Lapua Magnum Cartridge case? More information on the whole development program can be seen on our website link below (1)

We welcome any comments including any "faint hope" developments , including powder developments or other & also larger calibers that may be adapted. There is a song for that, but only if you are RCAF (2) As our American Marine Brothers and Sisters would say: Ooh Rah!

We welcome any information, ideas or referrals. Powder capable of only 1500-1700 yards meters for our .338 Lapua Magnum Generation II development program, while interesting, is not really that interesting to us as it has not been were we are going since 1993. We are looking for a “generational powder improvement” not just an incremental one. In order to achieve one's goals in life it is important to have a vision or long term plan, even if it may be on the “outer frontier” of possibility. This may not be for most people, but then we are not most people; not any better or worse, just different, and we are "completely cool" with that. The late President Theodore Roosevelt’s in the "Man in the Arena" speech in Paris in 1910 also had something to say about that. President Roosevelt’s speech also can found on our Service "A Tribute" page at the base of its main page (3) which was written in tribute to the service and sacrifice of the people in the field and our allies as they "stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves". You and I get to go home at night. These people do not. This is where our first loyalty lies . Yours should also, and probably does also in many cases.

:piss: "Friendly Fire" - we are not feeling very friendly about now!

Your language speaks volumes for who you are, and if you take the time to look our website you will find out pretty quickly "who the hell we are"

BTW do you have an answer to that very serious question we asked.? NO ONE else in the Industry or out for years has the answer to that question. Do you??

We have immediately lodged a formal complaint over that "Friendly Fire" incident on The 1919 Forum an are waiting for a response.

Over the weekend we posted the question on the site in the ammunition section , and because the question might stem from an artillery power development we posted it as an artillery powder question

We also bumped the WTS ads that we are all entitled to do. Usually people just put Bump or Bump, Bump, Bump however, I always thought that it sounded as if we have an IQ of 40 ...... so instead posted the same question to bump our ads like we are all entitled to do. Well, aren't we?

Then like the US Apache pilot who wasn't paying attention, a member makes a comment, not in an angry way, but just opening their mouths before looking. A moderator who wasn't paying any attention either fired away blindly, like most people who act without paying attention do also.

When Eric Olson was the head of USSOCOM in a 2007 presentation to a group of us at NDIA he talked about his people in action with: "Observe, Communicate Understand, Move and Engage" (and it that order). It applies not only in combat, but also medicine if you have ever supported your family's medical matters. In both cases as soon as the "shooting" starts and the noise goes up, so does the communication or you will have ? - Anyone? Anyone ? in that dry monotone voice of Mr. Rooney in "Farris Buhler's Day Off"

"Friendly Fire"!

BTW that Apache Pilot burned alive a whole crew of Brits in a Warrior AFV. This clearly is not as serious, but I hope that you get the picture? Same idea. Maybe same "gene pool"?

The moderator who made the very serious mistake, without first understanding what he was doing reminded me of the Apache Pilot when he said: "well I hope you are right cause I banned the guy" Good Move". The next move should and must be an apology for blindly ignoring Eric Olson and his SEALs very disciplined training and approach in in their own "fire discipline).

As for you, you are clearly not a SEAL as you lack the discipline. Without an apology for your comments, we reckon that you are a:

It sounds like the cartoon in the New Yorker magazine that my late parents had years ago.

A wife goes out to the store to get her husband ammunition for hunting; .44 mag to be exact

She cannot find anyone and improvises (without asking )

She comes back and proudly announces to her husband: "Honey, I couldn't find .44, so I bought you two boxes of .22"

My mother always loved that one

Now I know who you are. The handle just didn't register. You just act as a normal spammer but I believe you are not - maybe ? If you would learn not to be so sensitive and abrasive and stop trying to tell the world that you know everything, then maybe you could find some answers that you seek. Until then - Good Luck

You could "seek redemption" in this case by sending my comment above to the person who made the mistake and banned us by accident on the 1919 forum as an apology for the comment you made about us there. We complained on Monday to the 1919 forum and still have heard nothing. If it was serious enough to ban us there because the are unable to follow Eric Olson's comments above, they it is serious enough to reply to us, even if someone did not agree with us. Unlike you we approached the matter as a mistake that needed to be fixed as it should be, not an argument for no good reason.

Sensitive and abrasive. Us? We think, not. We were not the ones making the accusation here. You were, Sir. When has asking a serious question become spam? Do you have an answer to the question we asked? No one else does, and its a real challenge. If you cannot dig down deep and come up something that resembles a sincere apology, then we have nothing to add.

I think the real issue here is what have added to this forum This is not gun broker. And why would anyone have a comment on what powder you should use in a custom load/gun you are developing You should be the expert. In all the PKM posts you are the expert. I just can't figure you out

Lets put it this way - No I'm not going to try to get you un-banned over at TOS. The mod over there (note that I have known him for over 15 years) and has no bad bones in his body, did the deed. He had his reasons. I would never ever ask him to rescind that decision.

As far as you - You still don't understand the people that post here and there. Until you figure t out, you will continue to make more Enemies than friends !
