ok guys, i run mostly yugo ammo and have the firing pin spacer installed because of that fact. I have aquired a couple cases of romanian 8mm recently - my question is: should i remove the spacer when i shoot the romy, or is it ok either way? i think it should be fine with the spacer, but i dont wanna pierce a primer or something.:hillbilly:

man i cant sleep cuz i keep thinkin about stupid shit like this :sucide:

You should be fine runnnig the spacer with all 8mm.The Romy does run pretty reliable so you shouldnt have any problems with the primers.I've seen quite a few guys shoot the Romy stuff without the spacer and havent had any problems but its really up to you.I would just leave it in.

Hey G... The one thing I noticed about running the spacer is that it helps to weaken the spring slightly so keep running your spacer no need to remove it... Make sure you get a fresh back up spring and firing pin because I also noticed having the spacer in there also is a little rough on the firing pin as well...

Try Numrich e-gunparts.com or Sarcoinc ask for Dave there of course... Don't know about Ohio Ordnance works... Plus if all else fails contact Lucky#13 he might have some he'll part with...

Ya know after running about 500 rounds of the Yugo stuff it started doing its thing again of oh I'm not gonna set off this cartridge so I looked at the firing pin and sure enough its wearing it down... Not to say this happens on all of them but its good to have spares so we don't look like dorks on the firingline when the gun don't work... :headbang:
