AR-15 upper is finally here...

Well I finally got an AR-15 upper... Oh the agony... The pain all the little springs... Unfortunately its gonna be neutered with a monsterman grip but that means I can have the detachable clip so I'll be able to put my prebans to good use...

It's a model 1 sales upper... .223 caliber std 20" chromoly barrel 1-9 twist... Not really what I wanted but being it was second hand and was priced decent enough; I got it from one of the guys I do contract work for... The rear sites on these model 1 sales uppers is rarely straight so I will have to work with it to get it right but I can recall shooting a 1 inch group standing with this upper and thats good enough for me...

So I guess I better order the rest of the parts I need as I don't have all those stinkin' springs and what not yet...

For you guys in the non neutered states I'll post a pic of what the gun looks like with the monsterman grip on it... :coffee:

Yeah... No worries there 1919_4_ME got the Dillon 550 already setup to run the 6.8mm Remingtons... So it'll be coming soon...

As for now heres a pic of the neutered rifle...

Went with cutting off the nub seemed easier as I won't be shooting the rifle backwards like with the mosterman grip...

It's all good don't mind it neutered as I can now run my hi-cap mags that I bought before the ban... I tried buying some cheap ten rounders to run a fixed mag rifle and I had problems with the last round feeding and that can be a real pain in the ass...On my fixed mag FAL its no biggie so I decided to go this route instead and it doesn't feel that ackward at all...

i went monsterman on my last build too, its not too bad really, just gotta get an ambidextrious safety.

i wanna find a upper that can run cheap wolf ammo, since thats about all i can find, let alone afford. My current upper is a eagle arms heavy barrel thing, and dont like nothing but the high end LC or hunting ammo. When i rented an M4 it ran wolf polymer coated full auto with no problems at all.

I'm gonna get some more uppers I have plenty of lowers thats for sure... Definetely going to go with a pistol caliber next...

Hey anyone got the current prices on a Registered Drop in Auto Sear???
