Whoa thats nice... your right its a little pricey but what things aren't these days... Think those guys got in a little late on the trend I think a year and half ago they'd be flyin' off the shelves but now... :peep:
What I've been using is the double shotgun case from kickn'Apacks or something like that its a soft case but I have extra room for a barrel in there... Keeps the Watercooled nice so the jacket doesn't get dinged up and its not as heavy as a wooden transit case... :headbang:

That's VERY nice - but definitely out of my price range.. Right now (for a "case") - I use the leg cut from a pair of old Levi's. I keep the ankle-end tied shut with a piece of para-cord and have cut a small hole near the knee, so the "A6" carry-handle can stick out. After sliding the gun in and pulling out the handle, I fold over the "butt" of the Levi's as a "flap" and tie it shut with an old shoestring.
The REALLY cool thing is that I got TWO cases from ONE pair of old pants! Oh yeah - it also fits over the spade grips too!

Kali uses these damn coffee burlap bags and everytime he opens the bag all these little burlap hairs go flying everywhere. :pissed:
When he's not looking I throw his bag in the trash...

The more I think about this - the more I'm wondering if it's something that might make life easier for me... I'm asking some questions and will share what I find out. I'm thinking that I probably have a spare rifle (or custom knife) that I could sell to make it "happen" if it turns out to be a go..

Slick,
Your thinking about buying one of those? You could get a Pelican case and cut out the foam and probably same over $150 or so.That case would be awefully heavy too. :coffee:

Slick,

Just very "loosely" at the moment... I have some details, and have asked more questions and requested a better photo (which was offered).
They said the case is made by Hardig - and is a "real-deal" military case http://www.militarycases.com/
It's supposed to be superior to the pelican and have a lifetime guarantee.
Like I said, I'm just giving it some consideration... To be honest - I NEVER even thought I'd take the "leap" into the 1919a4's, especially in my financial condition. But HEY, I just want to die with a smile on my face even if it's not with wood..
I'll post more details - as the array of parts that this sucker hauls is impressive. They told me this case is NOT on the Hardig site because they "commissioned" it.
The potential "problem" that I foresee is that the whole package (loaded) will be too much for me to wheel around - especially off pavement...

im betting that sucker will weigh in at 100 pounds loaded :pat:

If I'm lucky - they said the case was 25 lbs EMPTY, then add my 34 lb gun + M2 tripod, spare barrel, T&E, pintle, Spade Grips, + tools and it'll go over 100 lb + pretty quick. :banghead:
I'm thinking I'd be better served by having a separate "gun case" AND a separate tripod case + a bag with the "extras"... God knows I'm NO Navy Seal - so I'm probably out of luck even considering this casing option..

Ya know ever since 1919_4_ME sent me my more compact M8 adapter I use a box for my adapter a double shotgun case 20.00 from kicknpacks and a second case for my tripod and T&E keeps things light and easy to wheel around... I have a big strecher box I converted to hold long guns when fully loaded it weighs 150+ easily... No problem I can lift it but why even try doing it... Soft cases are easier and you may have more of them but your back will thank you... Can't beat the price either...
Whats nice about that double shotgun case I got from KicknPacks is that it will handle a spare barrel in the case as well... for the watercooled or the aircooled... :headbang:
You know what I'm gonna post a link of my gun bag a little later I gotta get the website from my neighbors bag for you guys...

Contact pelican directly and tell them what you need. They have some nice and large cases that would work sweet for a 1919 setup. And it has wheels too :)
I would bet the really big one could be had for less than 200. I have bought a couple thousand pelican cases and have never had a problem with any!

Okay I order the take down rifle case from kickin' a packs n' stuff in the 44 inch model the unit will safely transport your aircooled with a barrel or even two barrels with the watercooled to the range... I'm even going to get a little 36" one for my tripod of if I can find one smaller I'll go that route but if you get a 36" one in addition you can store an extra barrel on either side of the interior of the case... I like my cases light so I don't have wrestle with them... These guys have great service my buddie ordered one and had it the next day of course thats in So. Cal... So thats a little unfair right... Check out there site... Next time I load up I'll take a picture... and post it... The pic's they have on there website are good but they don't make it easy just to post a link to the case or bring the image over here so you'll have to hit the link...

Well, I never heard back from them on my request for the better photo (they offered to email me) - but have pretty much decided to go with smaller casees and break down the gun parts from the tripod to make thing lighter & easier to manage..
