M249 Pintal

Does anyone know if an M249 Pintal will work for a 1919A4, and will it fit an M2 tripod?

Reason I ask is we have a bunch of them laying around her rusting and hey... why waste tax dollars!

I don't think so. I know a guy that had one (M249) and it was a lose fit. See my post on your M2 tripod question

I'm looking at one of my M249 pintles right now and it will drop right into any M2 tripod but it will not fit the 1919's the inside width its much smaller.

Oh well, thanks for the replies guys. Yeah one of the 82nd AB units had a bunch of them laying around all covered with rust, which is weird for Iraq! Thought I could get them to part with one if it would work.

I'm going to have to keep an eye on that one from Sarco and see if they get more of those complete M2 tripods in stock.
