Should have a data plate on the leg that the strap attaches to... and yeah you did score looks like a nice one... I have to pick one of those up for my watercooled... :thumb:

Your gonna hate me... $350.00. Looks like it says 1942 after the Lamson, that the date then?

Congrat's on that - you DID score! I know they're worth at least a grand or so on a bad day.

Thanks, it is a re-weld, but its still a nice pod. I'm way happy with it, it beats the pants off of the home made angle iron one I had. Now I just need a pintle for it! :-)

Uh yeah on the first part and yes that would be the date of mfr and mfr...

How about the t&e/cradle assembly, does it have identifying info anywhere?

It's a possibility however I've never had a cradle in my hands so I couldn't tell you... You might find the mfr's marks on there on the individual parts for instance Lamson would stamp or cast L's into parts

Cool, I'll give it a look when I get home. What was the original coating on both pieces?

More than likely Maganese Phosphate as it made a good surface to adhere paint to...

So would it then have been painted, or only parts of it?
