Greetings!

Any one know of a source for the dimensions of the standard ring mount? I am looking for the diameter (either inner or outer), the top and bottom lip measurements, and the distance top to bottom.

The dims will be used to mock up and build a ring mount on my 710K Pinzgauer to mount a M1919A4. I will most likely have to follow the pattern of the ring mount the M-113 which is not a complete circle as the roof hatch on the Pinzgauer is hinged and pivots towards the center.

Edited to add: The dims being requested are for the simple M36 ring mount or any of the other model that has similar dimensions of the ring itself.

Thanks for the link, that is actually more complicated than I wanted. Nice site for a lot of stuff.

The dims I am looking for are actually like the ones of the skate rail on the M2 scout car and the first half tracks. I think I have a line on one of the skates (without rollers though) that ran on the rail or an M36 ring.

Doesn't anyone on the board have a vehicle that sports a ring mount? If so a few minutes with a tape measure and a 6 inch scale would be a fantastic help.

The attached jpg shows the dimensions that I am looking for .

Not illustrated is a measurement of the ring diameter from the center of the web in addition to the measurements shown.

With these and welding I can duplicate a ring mount in rolled steel.
