I'm not sure these will stand up to live weapon fire. IMA had these made new from knock-off castings and they used to specify in thier Ad's that these were to be used on a display gun only. I'd rather look around for the real deal that can be used for live fire as well as display. FWIW.

Any time something is cast and not drop forged you know it will probably crack under use... The real forks come up from time to time... Now the socket may be a different story...

I'm in the market for a UK Ferret if I can find one that doesn't need a lot of body restoration. I found one in Florida and am working on getting the price down, so we'll see what comes of that.
