Tim nothing yet but I can tackle that project soon have evreything ready to roll just need to whip something out. Were you looking to go with a shield as well or just the mount?:army:

I'd really like a DShK to Goryunov mount adapter. It'd be nice to be able to use -- or modify and use -- the Goryunov shield.

Then there is the charging handle issue for the DShK.

KGP,
Yea that's the little part that will take a little more time.:big: I do have an original DShK AA Tripod so I have something to work off at least and was taking measurements off the cradle today. I really need to start making repro's for everyone since there are so hard to find. I think the SG43 tripod/cradle is a good idea for now so at least people can use there Dshk's for the time being until a full size repro can be offered. Will see what I can do!:army:

1919: Sounds good. I'll keep checking here for any progress. I agree people need some way to shoot their guns.

Don't think the Gory shield will be usable on the Gory mount with the DShK without cutting a good sized hole in the shield. Should not be too hard to cut a new DShK style shield out of 1/4" plate.

Shell casings can be used to operate the charging handle.

Since I need the gun mounted in less than two weeks, I am working on my own mount that should be good enough for blank fire. Not sure if I would trust my design to live rounds. Should have photos by the end of the weekend.

An adapter for the DShK on a Gory mount would be kick ass.

Gun is mounted, but I'm having ejection problems that I suspect are caused by the lack of the correct shell deflector below the gun.

Tim,
Your Dshk looks badass on that SG43 tripod looks like it was build for it. Been working on your cradle today along with other projects and should have your ready in time for your reenactment in March. I'm hauling ass on it this weekend.:thumb:
