Well I was working on swaging some of the 2500 pieces of 30-06 brass that I have after the Big Sandy, and there was BANG (kind-of like a primer going off). I said OMG, how did this piece of brass get in here (all of this batch has been sized, Deprimed, and Trimmed. Well Guess the Super Swage is Super Broke !

I'm thinking they'll just give you a new one right then and there. They used to be pretty good about that sort of failure.

Yeah - They have done that on a bunch of parts for the 650 before. But all of the previous parts have been replace due to Wear, not cast failure.:approve:

Yep they will give you a new one worse case you'll get a new "frame" but i'll bet just a new one.

Their no BS guarantee should cover it.

I was over there today and they have some real nice .30 caliber ammo cans for $5.00 from Brazil, Argentina, or somewhere down there (230 cartuchos) that have (removable) dividers in them. Good condition. SCF cans, in nice shape, if you need any.

You can never have too many ammo cans, especially if they are filled.

So did the casting just crack or was it the result of something else causing it to crack....

I've had a few steel casting go before and they sound just as you say like a primer going off...

Don't know - Just went BANG ! I clamp it down on my Drill Press table. Nothing magic. But after swaging 15,000 30-06 and 10,000 .223 pieces of brass, maybe it just got tired.

But Good news is I delivered the broken one and walked out with a new in Box unit today. The NO B.S. Warranty works really good.

Hmmm... Sounds like the conditions were just right for it to crack... I've had it happen before too... It's weird... and I always end up scratching my head when something like that does happen... The no B.S. warranty is great it's too bad it doesn't extend to the 1050 though....:dissapprove:

And some people still argue that Dillon stuff is overpriced.:big:
