Would anyone like to share their favorite loads for 30-06? I don't want to shoot commercial ammo out of my M1 and I don't have much surplus ammo. The next best thing is to reload. Right now, I'm limited to H335 and H380 powder so any accurate loads using these powders would be of the most use!

48 gns of IMR 4895 with M80 [147 gn FMJBT (7.62X51)] Ball projectile. Lake City once fired case trimmed to 2.485 full length sized /Winchester Standard large rifle primer.

4895 is a stick powder not a good choice for a progressive semi/progressive loader. W748 works better.

My 1956 H&R likes it.

I agree. I load 48.5 gr 4895 with 147 gr FMJBT as that was the powder developed for the M1 cartridges and I figure if it was developed for that cartridge that's good enough for me. Why screw with success?

I know H335 can be used with 30-06 but I don't know about the pressure curve since that is critical with the Garand.

Yep, 48gr of IMR 4895 with a Nosler 155 HPBT and CCI 200 primers shoots beautifully in my Garands.

If you polish the powder measure bell, this will stop the stacking of stick powder in a standard progressive press powder measure. I can hold +/-.1 gr on my XL650, cranking out 350 rounds per hour. Oh and good rhythm is important.
