Yeah, GI Brass had buttloads of really good prices on surplus brass and bullets and powder until this rush started, now his shelves are pretty much empty on that stuff. Forgot all about him having the starter tabs:freak:

I am too late again. I have to find some cheap links!
Anyone want a stripped M37 extractor for some links?

Best deal I have seen so far is
Coles Distributing, 109 bucks for 2000 links
http://www.coledistributing.com/

OOW has the izzy links, 70 bucks for 1000, and price goes down with quantity
http://www.ohioordnanceworks.com/parts/linkers-belts.html

RGuns has izzy links, 65 bucks for 1000 or 120 bucks for 2000

Question for you guys, will the '06 starter tabs work with the 7.62x51 links? Yeah, I'm a noob ;)

I don't personally have the 06 starters on my 7.62x51 linked ammo, but I would say they would work,, They might be a bit tight, but it would be easy to open them up a little,, there is, after all only one per belt.

Best price I've seen on the starters was at Wideners awhile back,, $15 for 50,, unfortunately they are sold out at this time,, http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=1162&dir=625|705

On the AGI Armor Course The man said that you realy dont need the starters, cuss cloth Belts have a long tab, AND on Links just catch the first one __ Link that is and the belt will index as you fire!

Yep, belts and links you just need to push the first round in and hold it while you cycled the bolt with your other hand.

I like doing this anyways as its kinda a PITA to pull on the tab on the right side and cycle the bolt on the right side as well.

I only used the tab one time, and I agree that they are a pain.I set the first round, rack it twice and giddyup-go.
