Just because you pass the exam and get the license, doesn't mean you're smart...
12 lbs of plastic doesn't sound like much, but anybody who's seen what C4 can do knows better. Blast velocity over 7000 fps, contained in a steel hull..just the air contained in the boat would guarantee the top to blow off.
This guy is a major dumbass. Did he expect all of the blast to go down into the water? Then he's REALLY stupid. Basic hydrodynamics: Liquids do not compress. The boat may as well have been sitting in a bed of concrete, guaranteeing most of the blast WILL go UP.

Why do they let stupid people like this play with such great toys... My father would tell me about how they would sink the old liberty ships after WWII and how far away they would get during the sinking... I believe I remember him telling me they would just blast around the center of the keel but they would weaken the ship before they would even do that... including cutting holes in the hull and decks above the waterline so the ship woud sink evenly... I don't even think you need a degree to tell you that standing on top of something that you are going to be exploding would not be a good idea... Well I guess some folks are just born with out common sense...Little to heavy on the C4 there sparky... Dee Dee Dee...

There are old blasters, and there are bold blasters...
but there are no old bold blasters.

Hey you got that right... It's kinda like they tell you when your doing reloads start 10% under and work them up to the charge listed... You know they didn't even have the debris removed from the deck so many other people could have been hurt because of this so called professional...
I just don't get it...
Oh by the way good to see you on here Von...

thanks.
I used to do movie effects..lots of guns and explosions...and we had better safety controls on low impact black powder bombs than this dimwit used with C4! It's amazing.
this fool just got all camera struck and since they were filming him he figured he'd impress the world by pulling something risky. There are so many intangibles in explosives, so many X factors, that you really don't know EXACTLY what is going to happen even in the simplest explosion, so the only safe place to be is wherever your minimum safe distance card says to be...that ain't standing on top of your charges.

Well... I hope the guy survived so people could tell him how stupid he was...Even the vessel filming was way too close as seen in the video the debris flew towards it...
I would never wish anything bad to happen to someone but there is a difference in taking a risk verses being stupid... That was stupidity at it's finest...
