Out of all the things I enjoy most in Shooting its my tactical shoots and Beltfed Shooting... This is a modified version of a ISPCA shoot that is limited to only Six rounds per magazine 3 mags only so if you miss you miss... I always say if I'm gonna sling lead thats what the beltfed is for... Thats why I like this modified match where accuracy is encoraged not mag capacity and time...

Gun: Stock Rock Island Armory Phillipines 1911a1
Caliber: 45acp
Loads: Full Power 8.5grains Blue Dot 200gr SWC

How sweet it is when you can beat the guy with the 4000 dollar race gun... In a BFS shirt at that!!! :nana:

Oh no no no boys, I've been a 1911A1 gunslinger all my life..that competition load is very similar to one I used to use when I was loading for accuracy back in my Army days. I had a load using a magnum primer and 7.5 gr of Unique with the 185 gr flat truncated cone jacketed bullet..I used to scare the crap outa the guys on post by scoring chest hits on a combat silhouette at the 100 yd line with my box-stock MkIV mod 70 (Aimpoint was the top of the head)..I have two .45 autos now, my MkIV Colts unfortunately fell victim to divorce and going broke in the '80s. I've worked an Auto Ordnance 1911A1 into a slick little foolproof shooter, and have an Argentine Colt / Sistema that shoots so good it's stupid. I LOVE my .45 autos. The only handgun I have that has a prayer against them is my Sig 226, which is also insanely accurate.

I've often thought of going into training and getting back into shooting competitively, and I would be another one of those anarchists..bringing issue-grade weapons with no lasers or Aimpoints or Holo-Sights..I'd take this to a 3-gun match: Auto-Ord 1911, Mossberg 500 with 24" slug barrel and rifle sights, and my Romanian SAR-3 in 5.56, all open sights. If allowed, my 7.62 AK for practical rifle. FTF, stoppages, are unheard of with these. And accuracy is better than the "magazine experts" admit to..

Now that would be fun to do that run & shoot, but with a beltfed via (Man portable pack)

Oh yeah Von knows what I'm talking about... I just bump my load up 4/10's of a grain and I'm hittin' 12" steel plates at 100 yds. and if its a good day I can shoot the old .45 out to 200yds.

I have another competition I go to that the ISPCA guys go to for pratice but they piss me off with there mod guns and hi-cap mags... Sure they hit there targets but the one issue I have with the rules is they don't penalize them enough for a miss if it was 10 seconds verses the five seconds I think they would take there time instead of slingin' lead...

Yeah I've tried to let them let me run the course with the beltfed but there concern was I would put holes in the targets and I dont' think I could find a holster large enough...I'd probibly be tired after the first round lugging the Beltfed around

1919_4_ME anytime your ready man you got three mags and a holster right!!!
