Yep just what it says... :big: This is John Brownings Orignal Patent for what would become the 1917 Browning obviously it was further refined before production but take a look... This PDF file is compliments of our U.S. Patent Trademark Office... :approve:

Hey guys this will be added to the 1919a4 info box and source page this week... If you guys have anything to share that involves blueprints, patents, tutorials, build compliance letters etc. etc. contact me via PM I'll get it posted up on the site through the techs...

On another note...I've been noticing a lot of the info that used to be out there is drying up and I don't know about you but I enjoy looking at this stuff so lets try and keep it around for other folks that enjoy this hobby...

Interesting patent info, After giving it some study looks like JMB was drawing on his Colt potato digger for some of this,
it's far more complicated then a 17 Browning, lots of parts, the patent date is 16 years before
the final product, I believe he scraped this concept and retooled everything to come up with
the system we all know and love,
