If I want to make a mini uzi and cut down the reciever, do I still have to fit the blocking rail at the back?

There is a mini-Uzi build on the Weapons Guild board. I am pretty sure he did fit the blocking rail.

Yes, you must weld in a blocking rail to prevent the original bolt from being used with a full auto grip frame. Otherwise, it is a machine gun.
