Other site Dead?

Either I have a bad cookie or the other site is dead... ? I was just there last night and was gonna check few posts then head to my property to test the ORF.

Hey slick it looks like they have the server down for work or the hackers finally got to the server... Its not on your end I already got a email back from one of the other mods and they have the same thing on there end so we will just hope for the best...

Funny I got a couple e-mails about updated posts by Bain and Luke since it's been down. Thought it might be back up since I got them, but no joy. If the hacks got in, be careful of e-mails from 1919.

Sucks you had to go through the return/rework. Give us a range report on it when you get it out!

Edit: Just got another e-mail that said Rich just replied to Slicks' "ORF Problem" thread. Site still down though. They must be workin on it.

Rich im hoping you got the latest and greatest in hack stoppers.. that and not being an old version of vbulletin will probably help.

I don't want to jinx it or anything but this phpbb is probibly one of the best out there its free software to the tech community which usually makes hackers want to screw with it less because you have other like minded people building patches for it all the time to keep them out if there is a problem like that...

I don't remember what the 403 error is or a 404 for that matter that I am now getting but I sure hope they had the site mirrored so all the content is still there...

FYI guys if your going to go over there or accept E-mails from there might I suggest AVG antivirus its free from download.com and will kill all the nastys... AVG is maintained by tech professionals so they are always on top of things... I had the last major bug that came through last summer nothing would touch it then AVG wiped its ass of the planet like napalm... :twisted:

Doing my three hour scan now although if you have a smaller or larger time you scan time may vary...

Kali im gonna drag you off topic.... but if your using AVG, you also need to go get the companion adware/spyware stopper, cleaner.... they just bought out EWIDO and its now got their name on it.... free for 30 days on the full version and then free for your manual activation version..

we may need a section here for free tech goodies or dwnlds..

You know I payed for Adware and it was the biggest pile of crap I ever bought at the same time when I bought that I was looking for the free version of spybot search and destroy which is actually better for getting the ad generators off the computer but I could not find the free version... So I just figured I'd try adware... It was just taking up space on my drive... Don't get me wrong it did a good job on basic stuff but it took AVG to get this nasty piece of adware generating junk off my unit... This ad would pop up you could not close the window and it would change every ten minutes it just hard wired itself into the system... So AVG is not AVG anymore huh... I've had the free version for a while now and it just keeps updating it... My buddies cousin is a full time tech student he just enjoys going to school I guess, and does server maintenance; he usually finds all the free goodies for us. It's been my experience AVG just about kills everything and has saved my ass more times than I can count... Even though we back up drives sometimes things get lost and try explaining to a customer that you lost there artwork... :lol:

AVG is still AVG

they also now own a company called EWIDO. who made a really killer free "malware" zapper.

spybot is also a good one, i use it too. here is my current set up:

AVG virus protection: version 7.1
AVG s: 7.5(spy/malware protector)
spybot search and destroy
tweak now registry cleaner
windows washer

It was more accurate than I would have ever thought possible. A sticking feed pawl was keeping the belt from advancing every dozen shots or so. I've got that fixed and think the gun should run perfect now - we'll see.
