I've been having a problem with stuck cartridges in my AR-15... A little background on the gun... Its a model 1 sales upper the chamber is not chrome lined and I'm running Wolf poly coated ammo...

These are my symtoms... Obviously I getting stuck cases but If I swab and clean the chamber I can get maybe a mag through it before it starts in again...
So my question is do any of you guys have problems similar to that with that Wolf polymer coated or is it something I'm doing wrong... I know people said the military classic is not good to run in there because of the laquer build up... But it seems that the chamber is getting fouled on this ammo and that is possibly what is causing the stuck cases...

Also I've checked the ammo its all in spec with a case gauge... I was told not to run the Wolf but... I didn't have time to reload...:green:

I have never heard anything good about shooting Wolf steel cased in the mouse gun, it always seems to do what you are describing, regardless whether its Poly or Mil Classsic.

First let me point out that I have no first-hand experience with this problem, but I’ve read a great deal about it.

If Wolf is the only ammo that causes this problem, then it’s probably best to avoid using it. If the cases come out easily (with a cleaning rod) then you may be able to use Wolf it you add the “D-ring” to increase the extractor tension->

YMMV

Iam with SLICK I would use the stronger extractor anyways to prevent any FTF issues.. Out of 20 rifles I have built recently only 1 had issues and it was an unchromed barrel by wilson arms... Either way its a cheap fix and it should get you up and running... ont hate wolf it maybe the only ammo we can shoot for a while...

Yeah the D ring thing is a good tip...:green: I installed one already... I threw the case away but the one thing I noticed was that the dirty grit from the powder is embedding in the polymer coat and almost acting as a binding agent... Probibly if it was chrome lined I'd be good... Well I might have to shoot out this barrel I suppose...:green: I'll work with it and find out works the best...
