I have developed a dummy 1919A4HB....at risk of going down in flames, I would be pleased if informed types among you would critique my creation:

www.air-sharp.com

I have never seen/handled a real 1919. I built the first one as a gag. The gun pictured is #5. They kept getting sold, so I set up a site for them.
Please note my aim here is not neccessarily sales....I need educated opinions. I based the initial shapes on the sideplate drawing circulating the internet. It is actual size except a bit wider to fit the goodies inside. I still have a few details to put on the model in the photos, charging handle and such.

Doesn't look too bad... There is room for improvement... Maybe some of the guys can post some pics up in here to give you a better idea as to how some of the parts are shaped etc. But it is still very cool... In the resource links section above there is a banner for a guy that builds dummy guns too and puts them in display cases etc...

We also have pics that members submitted up in the gallery if you haven't had a chance to browse that as well...

I'll give you a big thumbs up on your fab skills keep up the good work and if the thought ever moves you to build one of these semi automatic beasts let us know so we can steer you in the right direction....

Do you mean the wood replicas?

I originally was going to get one of theirs to do my airsoft gun. Nice detail on those. Priced accordingly. Too bad durability isn't on the feature list. But they do have a nice niche market for indoor display stuff.
My intention was to do AirSoft gun conversions. Most of my customers just want to use them for dummies. I had no idea so many people wanted a 1919A4 for their jeeps! They are liking that my models are waterproof and don't weigh 35 pounds. Makes mounting a lot simpler, especially for those who just want the "Rat Patrol" look.
Hmmm...I need a Batmobile....to mount two on.
We'll wait while the young'uns Google "Rat Patrol"....

No... I believe the guys listed on the links page acutally use a demilled 1919a4 kit although that is quite expensive its really accurate and I believe the last time I checked they said you can even rack the action like a full fledged gun... It's all interesting... :bounce:
