I've been working hard to get the electric turret ready for Knob Creek, bur it looks like it won't be ready. Mechanichally it's about finished, but the controls aren't done.

The photos you will see are the ring turret removed from the vehicle and positioned on laboratory legs. It has motorized rapid traverse, fine traverse and elevation control. It is solenoid or manual fired. It can be charged electrically or manually. It will be equipped with the laser from hell and a night/day video scope. The driver or gunner will have a joystick and proportional control of all three axis of motion and laser/fire control. You simply designate your target with the laser using an onboard monitor or the heads-up display and fire.

This turret is plug-n-play in a Pinzgauer 710 K with no modifications to the vehicle, or can be removed and used with optional ground mount legs, providing 360 degree AA or ground fire, remote capable.

Excellent job!Very,very nice!
If you get to the marketing phase, give me a shout.I would love to put one on my work van.
I'll bet that was a very spendy little project!

Relay logic , Simple and tough ,good going Ryland.
You need to come fix the turret a local Police Dept has on their new 500k dollar SWAT Armored Car.
It has some real sick computer problems ,locks up ,wont move , and if an officer is in it he cant get out.

Well that may be intentional then...

When my father worked for HAC Hughes Aircraft Company unfortunately he worked there during the GMAC era when they shipped the majority of the connectors division to Mexico... He said out of 10 parts sent back from Mexico 7 would fail... This was stuff used on the turrent for the Apache and other gunnery guidance systems on various aircraft and helo's... :saluteflag:
Speaking of the Apache... How does this unit aquire the target???

Ryland can correct me if I'm wrong but Right now its set up with a mil spec laser, that's what is mounted on the scope rail by the rear sight, so if the gunner can see the target and it has a red dot on it.... it's dead! He may also be planning a closed circuit TV monitor through a scope... That's the part I'm not sure on.

Tough!

Maybe said "officer" will think twice about his decision to join the Nazi party to become a gestapo then.

Dan its got these weird fold over rails like on a carnival ride.
The Computer folds them over and pins them to the seat ,then it throws a fit and will not let him out ,with no manual over ride.
