Actually the system locked up and I had to give it a kick, and it double posted..
Anyway, on to the topic..
Isn't it interesting that they suddenly "discover" a "problem" which has been going on for over 50 years? One must ask oneself..why NOW?

Well... SNAFU...

They know whats going on and if they claim they don't they are full of it...It's all about the money somebodys lining there pockets... The the million dollar question is that if Iran is the enemy and the only one in need of F-14 parts then those parts have no need to be around they need to be destroyed...

Do you have any idea how many surplus brokers are going around or ignoring the "DeMil" regulations? Have been for decades? They know who is buying this stuff, they just got caught.

You got that right as soon as there back are turned they are back at again... Kinda like all the surplus ammo thats supposed to be destroyed instead of being sold to the US market... I am sure some will get through....

I think that's what happened to the ammo supply..Somebody finally looked into who was doing the buying..I was hearing about Congress looking into the thing they call "leakage" almost a year ago..military equipment and supplies leaking into the civilian market through private companies buying surplus. They've been chasing this in circles for a long time, but you can bet somebody gets a phone call in the middle of the night when the wrong deal is discovered. Surplus disposal is the perfect avenue by which to get certain things to certain places under the radar.

All that Mk211 and Slap has to be getting out somewhere.

The F-14 is antiquated technology and was retired from US military service in sept 2006. How great a threat is it? To those who know.....
and why not simply destroy all the surplus parts?
