Those are great uppers when they're working good!
I used to have one myself 'till I traded it off for some work, thinking I'd pick up another later. Too bad Tromix discontinued the line... :(

wow thats got some kick to it even in a rifle platform - its funny to watch the desert eagle guys play with 50ae and almost send the pistol thru there forehead :shock:

wouldnt mind seeing the effect it has on a gallon of water or something reactive.

I was really surprise Tom discontinued them... But he's still a great guy I've talked to him over the phone a number of times... Gettin' the bugs worked out of that one... We found out that the rebated rim on the Israeli brass breaks the extractors and doesn't eject as well as say the starline brass... So we run only starline in it per Tom's suggestions... the other problem we had with it was the gas block kept blowing off... So I got a really nice unit from Model1sales and she runs like a champ now...
Agreed... those units do have problems but they are so freakin' cool... :headbang:

Think I'm going to pick up a 450 thumper from bushmaster... in 16inch should be able to get the same effect....

Ah yeah well if you would have seen it you would even had said this ones gotta go it was aluminum with two set screws... No clamping power at all the 1913 gas block that I got from Model1Sales hasn't blown off yet... It all seemed to be simple stuff to me... You know its like those Desert Eagles my buddies 44mag I swear is down all the time... So he's gonna sell it... Whats the point if you can't enjoy it right... Thats the only gun I have ever given up on... :coffee:
