The 1919 AA Adapter and T&E mechanism is one of the best things to happen to the German MG3 AA Tripod. One of the key features of this shooting platform is to allow the user to stand and shoot without having your links & ammo touching the ground. One of the biggest headaches at the range is having to re-link ammo onto dirty links which can create jams or abnormal wear. This AA Adapter will cure that and will allow you to have a funner shooting experience without having to worry about dirty ammo belts and links.

Hi Mark,
These are still available and can be found here:

Part #1001

*Also I do have some New Buffered AA Mounts that will be offered soon for 2012 so if your looking for something that has more features you might want to wait and check those out. Naturally with the added features and upgrades they will be priced higher then this this current AA Adapter though. This AA Adapter listed above is the one that started it all...

i have seen somewhere that this type tripod was fitted with a brace like a turnbuckle thingy. is that just a one off that you did for your personal use, that possibly led you to build your own better tripod? or is that something that you offer for sale as well?

M,
That the one you are talking about I think is the BFS Pintle III whic uses a standard T&E. Its mostly just a universal Pintle for the guy who just want to shoot his 1919 without any ammo can holders etc just a stripped down version.

I haven't finished the Buffered AA Mounts yet things have been crazy with lots of backlog so I should have them done in the next month or so the RPD stuff is coming in the next week plus some other goodies. The Buffered AA Mounts will be different then the M2 Ground Adapters, the buffered system itself will be almost the same.

Let me know if theres something specific that want/need for a setup though.
